Day #43 So how DID a branch of the Worth family end up in Texas?

 TI makes more than calculators...

 Texas Instruments

In October of 2007 the Tucson Citizen wrote,  "The (TI) company on Monday announced it will consolidate its manufacturing operations in Texas, eliminating about 300 jobs here. That’s about half the total workforce in Tucson. However, Tucson will retain about 300 higher wage engineering and development jobs at the electronics plant near the airport. Over the next two years, TI will consolidate its Tucson manufacturing operations into its Sherman, Texas, facility.

Texas Instruments bought Tucson-based Burr-Brown Corp. in August 2000."

The Worth family gathered in Texas.
Military life moves families around the globe. My sister Karen, at one point, lived in Tucson, AZ, as a dependent Air Force spouse. Brad moved out there from CT. He worked for Burr-Brown, noted above as being bought out by TI. He is a junior electrical engineer.

My sister's family moved on to Florida and, eventually, Virginia where military life was retired. Brad stayed behind in AZ and, in 2008, was offered the opportunity to move with TI to the Sherman, TX, facility. He accepted, and, my oh my, how much his life has changed!

At age 50 brother Brad got married for the first time to Nancy Gonzalez.

Nancy has a son, Jacob. Brad legally adopted him and he is now Jacob Worth.

And then on June 27, 2012, Ethan Jay Worth was born...
