Day #38 The Huntington in Pasadena with Mel

What a joy to be able to reconnect with my childhood friend, Melodie! She and her family have been so welcoming!
Peacock feathers waiting for me on my bed!
Breakfast out with Bob (Mel's husband), Jason (son) and Mel before the girls head out to Pasadena. Destination....

We arrived not long after opening, took our time doing the outdoor gardens first, sitting lots, hydrating, laughing, looking, enjoying the day and each others company immensely (despite the temperature of 103).

What follows are statues, gardens, libraries, galleries and my photo documentation for the day of The Huntington. Comment is limited, except when needed. Enjoy the tour as much as we did! (Link below for those who enjoy more detail.)

We ended our day at a restaurant in Pasadena recommended by one of the dossiers, drank big pina colodas, ate Mediterranean (I am loving lamb chops and kabobs!), rested our weary feet and headed home with a gorgeous sunset and glorious mountains. Good, good day for the not so old ladies in Pasadena today!
