Day #4 Budweiser Brewery First and then on to Kansas City

I can tell you this unequivically, retirement is good so far! Road trips are great when you love the people you are with.

The evidence of draught can be seen in the miles and miles of baked corn along I-70.

The Budweiser Brewery tour couldn't have been better this morning in St. Louis.

Welcome Center

Love the Clydesdales!

Fancy tack room

One of the eight steps to brew

Historic landmark: Anheiser Budweiser Brewery

Find my reflection admiring all those pretty choices!

The toast in the tasting room - step 8 = QUALITY CONTROL - drink it to see if it tastes good and tastes the same anywhere in the world! (I did like the Bud Light Lime. May have gotten a bit of a buzz after the second free one!) (Tom, self-professed beer snob, drank his FIRST Budweiser ever and liked it!)

Happy retired lady!

Welcome to Kansas! We will, however, bounce back over the state line to get BBQ in the city this evening.

Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbecue - rated #1 best barbecue  by Zagat in the nation. (And more beer...)

Waiting to order...

Burnt Ends, Pork Ribs, Beef Ribs, Beef Prime Rib (too fatty and because I didn't like it they brought extra pork ribs), cheesy corn bake (outstanding), and beans that Tom said he could live on until the day he died and be a happy man!

Alarms set for an early rise for the eight hour trek to Denver tomorrow! Yeah! We love bed. We love sleep.
