Day #34 Anaheim - Disneyland with Tom and Bryan

What a happy place! Little girls dressed as princesses coming for a makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique...

Pirates sauntering about everywhere...

And adults in silly hats...

Oh, my! Did we have fun! Tom and his friend, Bryan, met me at the gate. They left Modesto after work on Monday and drove the six hours down.

Bryan is a season's pass holder and navigated our day for best optimal results. SUCCESS!

First stop...

Tom kicked my butt!

 Next...

Star Tours!

The welcoming committee as I prepare to take the test of facing my fears and living Peacock Proud

Three favorite attractions were closed today, causing mild disappointment for me and greater disappointment for Tom: Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones and Space Mountain. (Next time, Tom. Next time. A reason to come back!)

Bryan dressed up for the day! Check out those fancy shoes!

And on to the Submarine Voyage to find Nemo!

They have updated all the attractions since my last visit 20+ years ago, adding Disney characters everywhere.
Dorey helped us find him!
One adventure after another...

Jungle Cruise

Cute crown on Bryan! Good shot, Tom!

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

I keep finding these kind of guys... quiet, stationary type...

Churros break for Tom and MK

and r2 d2 popcorn and canister for Bryan!

Buffalo topiary!

Clock parade

It's a small world after all!
Rabbit and Queen posing and giving autographs

Eeyore, too!

New Orleans Square for Steak Gumbo and Fritters

Delicious!

Fritters

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

I did it for Tom and Peacock Proud!
He was keeping an eye on me!

A close eye!

My favorite of the day! Talking birds, flowers, and Totem poles!

Another favorite

Exceptional performance by the Voices of Liberty, especially the National Anthem sung as a special tribute to September 11 victims!

And then, what the heck.....

A girl on our boat was reading 50 Shades of Grey for the plunge.
I, of course, got soaked. Ewe....

And my shoes started frothing! Man-made what?

One last ride for me...
Peter Pan's Flight
I found a bench while the guys sprinted off to repeat some favorite rides. And I found The Disney Parade!

Mickey!

Goofy!

Peacocks!

Lion King!

Stellar costumes!

Little Mermaid and more!
Wonderful day to share with two awesome young men!
I am a lucky woman. Thank you, God!

(Ended the day with a big hug from Tom and crashed to rest my weary feet.) :D
