Day #24 Olympic Mountains and the NE Pacific Coastline via the man-cave

After a good night of sleep and coffee with niece Mary at a daily habit of the Kewley family, Cutter's Point Hand Crafted Coffee.

The destination for Day #24 was the Olympic Mountains and the NE Pacific coast.

Oysters farms in the bay

The reason Washington is called the Evergreen State!

Picturesque scenes and lessons in geography and climate. Weather here comes without much snow unless up in higher elevations. Mick and Lorrie can't recall that it has ever gotten below 20 degrees in the 13 years here. Lots of rain in the winter and visits to the mountains take care of those who need a snow fix.

Lunch on the deck of Doc's in Port Townsend. The film "An Officer and a Gentleman" was made here. (Lissa, we will watch it when I get home!) (I am experiencing with adding video to my blog. Hope it works!)

Sun hats available for takers!
And me, fascinated with my double reflection in Lorrie's sun glasses!
Amazing fresh clam chowder!
Perfect day. Perfect view. Perfect food. Perfect company.
Clams and Mussels fetuccini for Mick, Scallops for Lorrie, and Fresh Halibut for me with Quinoa salad. (It was good, but mine is better!)

I am a carrot cake snob. This one was one of the better ones. Toasted coconut, pecans, moist, passable cream cheese frosting when combined with the fresh whipped cream. We shared this beauty!
Back in the man-cave for the next leg of the adventure.

Blue and beautiful Crecent Lake
The furthest NE community in WA with recent fame claiming the town portrayed in the "Twilight" movie series.

And then we found Ruby Beach! Oh my goodness! God's handiwork is amazing and wonderful and, and, and.....!

Bone yard of drift wood on this beach.

Tooties in the Pacific, too!

Pretty impressive after 27 years of marriage!

Look for the wolves on the shore... we are in Twilight territory! (Actually, driftwood. Pretty cool, huh?)

One last perfect shot

And hot tub time after the drive home!

What an amazing, wonderful, perfect day! Cherishing every moment. Loving life. Loving God.
