Day #32 Quiet day to write, do laundry, mini concert, pick up rental car, Indian food

Denise and I opted for a quiet day #32 at home in Burbank until picking up my rental car at the Bob Hope, Burbank Airport and then dinner later in the evening.

Denise is an accomplished musician. I asked for a private concert and she obliged!
Denise began playing by ear when she was 3 and started lessons at age 5.

She gives private lessons in her home on weekends and, for some, goes to their home.

Kasia and Charly love listening to Mommy Denise play!
Childrens' Author, David Shannon, commissions Denise to give his daughter piano lessons.

Fergus is the Shannon family pet. He is deaf, but can feel the vibration of the piano and sits next to Denise's feet during the lesson!

Just a sampling of his other books...

Denise came to CA 30 years ago for the sun and involvement in the music end of the entertainment industry. Like many, while the work was fun and exciting (Cheers, Webster, MacGyver), it wasn't sustainable into retirement. She went back and got a journalism degree, worked 16 years for the Associated Press and, just recently, was recruited to work for a web based Hollywood news site, Deadline Hollywood, primarily for people working in the entertainment industry.

Before picking up my rental car for the next leg of my Southern CA adventure, I had to have the traditional picture!

Storm clouds brewing, flash flood warnings on the other side of the mountains!
Another first for me ~ Indian Cuisine!
Denise smacks her lips in anticipation! It was YUMMY!

I made our handsome server blush as I explained how important the peacock check plate was to me.
"Peacock proud I stand today. Proud of you. Proud of me."
And he said, "Take it!" So I did, left him a good tip, and had Ben and Jerry's with the cows down the street for dessert!
If you don't ask, they can't say, "No!"

The next chapter in life as this one ends
What message goes out? What message to send?

Go and create! Find your passion!
“Loved life and laughter” will be our caption!

Now show your colors! Walk with a strut!

Head held high. Chin proudly up.

Peacock Proud I stand today.

Proud of you. Proud of me.
